Dr. Ameena recognizes the current state of the economy as it relates to African American and other people of color. There is a myth that is perpetuated that if an individual works hard they can live a quality life as if the playing field is leveled. Many African-Americans live in communities that offer little to no upward mobility. This is a direct reflection of collateral damage of a system designed to keep people living in communities that have no viable economic opportunities. Our plan is to address the racial inequality that has kept a hold of systemic damage on African Americans and to change the dynamics of intentional disenfranchisement that has plagued our communities.
